Tip: Disable volume change popping sound.

Mac OS X volume levelYou must be familiar with what I’m talking about. That sound you hear when you change the volume level on your mac. It’s neat at first, but overtime I’ve grown tired of it, and it just attracts unwanted attention.

Here is how to disable it:

  1. Open System Preferences from your dock. system preferences icon
  2. Click on the sound menu. mac sound menu
  3. Uncheck the “Play feedback when volume is changed” check box. mac volume feedback menu
  4. Done. Enjoy the peaceful quiet.
