Fix your iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus’ Volume Issues

Many users have posted volume issues about their iPhone 6 and 6 plus devices on Apple forums and communities on the internet. The issues might include a very low volume and when the volume button is hit once, the entire volume bar turns to zero.

On other occasions, there are times that users won’t be able to see any volume button at all. Some has fixed this by rebooting their devices. Others reported that when they play a video or their favorite music, the volume is too loud.

Solutions for Volume Issues

Remove the iPhone Plastic Packaging

If your iPhone 6 or 6 plus is new, remove the entire screen’s cover. This is not a protector. This is a packing material that covers the iPhone’s speakers.

Turn On Hearing Aids

You can make the volume of your iPhone higher by doing the following: Go into the Settings. Tap the General Button. Scroll Down and Look for “Accessibility”. Select the “Hearing Aids” Option. Note that turning on the hearing aids will turn off the phone noise cancellation option which is a default in iOS 8 update and above.

Increase the External Volume

You can go to your iPhone’s Settings. Scroll Down and Tap “Sounds”. You will see a slider under the “Ringer and Alerts” option. Make sure that the “Change with Buttons” option is grayed out. You will be able to increase your iPhone’s external volume after setting up the slider to the maximum sound.

Reset your iPhone’s Settings

In order to do this, go to the Settings application. Tap on the “General” button. Scroll down and click Reset. Note that resetting your iPhone will erase all content so make sure that you have a backup of your files before doing this step.

Check for Third Party Screen Savers

If your iPhone came with screen guards, you can check if they are covering any ports on your devices. You can change your screen protector if this is the case.

Blow into the Connector of your Device

There might be debris and other unwelcome things lodged into your iPhone. You can remove them by blowing them away. Other suggestions and recommendations are also welcome.
