Have you ever played a video or a song on YouTube, only to find that it stops as soon as you navigate to another app on your phone? This issue is extremely frustrating. However, there is luckily a solution to this problem, which will be shared in the following tutorial!
The Problem
Many users experience issues with youtube – both the app and through a browser such as Safari – stopping playback as soon as another app is opened or the page is left. Unfortunately, using the Control Center is not helpful in solving this problem. It is likely that YouTube prevents users from playing youtube in the background in order to increase sales for YouTube Red. This product will be discussed further on in the article.

This doesnt work at all
Great solution
Thanks
this doesn’t work
Hey Scooter, I found the way to make it work. You need to download google chrome on your phone or iPad and then access the YouTube website in chrome and go to the 3 dots in the upper right corner and then select desktop version in the drop down menu. You then play the video you want and then you can leave Chrome and if it stops you swipe up from the bottom of your screen and hit play in your phone menu where you have the flashlight setting. It works as I am using it now.
Hey, thanks for the great advice! It worked really well for me!!
